De Dana Dhan is directed by Priyadarshan and it brings back together after over 8 years the super hit team of Hera Pheri - Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty and Paresh Rawal. It is a mad cap comedy to be shot almost completly in Singapore from November 2008 onwards.
Industry insiders claim it was Akshay's suggestion to get Katrina opposite him in the film after reading the script. Now one wonders what is going to be Salman's reaction to this. It is a known fact that Salman wasn't exactly happy on knowing Katrina having signed Singh Is Kinng without even telling him about it.
During a recent media event for Singh Is Kinng, when Akshay was asked about the onscreen chemistry between him and Katrina his response was, "We have given so many hits together why shouldn't we work together again."
Katrina had chipped in to say, "We share a bond. Uncle Akshay's been a great friend. He has been there from when I started out and did not know Hindi, did not know dancing, where the lights and camera were supposed to be, what I was meant to do. Every newcomer should work with him, he helps in every shot, and he lends support and gives confidence. He's a senior artiste and you respect a senior artiste."
